Sheffield Vulcans join IGR

The brand-new club became the 13th active, inclusive rugby club in England and part of the LGBT sporting body known as International Gay Rugby (IGR).

On December 11th, Sheffield Vulcans became the 68th member of International Gay Rugby, with associate membership status.

Sheffield joins other major cities in the North of England with Gay and Inclusive Rugby Clubs following Leeds, Liverpool, Newcastle and Manchester (whose Village Spartans were one of the world’s first ever Gay Rugby Union Clubs created back in 1998)

Since launching in August 2017, Sheffield Vulcans have already played a game and have another planned for the new year.
